It's really well designed and has a clean interface (and that's important to me, I like simple). What prompted me to do so now is that Arc Studio Pro sent a survey and I wanted to respond to it honestly, so I spent some time trying it. I responded four months ago (see below), but didn't really answer part of your question. Just finished my TV pilot in FadeIn and hopefully plan to finish my feature soon in it too. And knowing that recognisable names use it is a big confidence boost in the longevity of the investment. Fade In is updated regularly, has apps for all platforms Including Mac, Windows and Linux. I started in WriterDuet two years afo and moved to Fade In about 6months ago. I also then sync the whole writing folder to Google Drive. It helps keep a paper trail and I can keep other stuff like images or screenshots alongside scripts. It sounds weird bc you can replicate it in the cloud kinda but I like having a proper folder structure and saving a v1.0 before moving onto on a v1.1 etc. But not needing WiFi or even running an offline Chrome instance feels better on the go. I write on my own so collaboration isn't a concern at the moment. I had a similar question when I started and although I really like cloud documents like Google Docs for work and everyday stuff, scripts worked a little different for me.įirst off, offline apps are generally better on battery life than a Google/Cloud synced instance is.
